June 2019
June was another busy month but also allowed us a holiday that we have long dreamed of doing - we cycled around Route 1 in Iceland - an amazing country.
Back home we cast the second set of external stairs to the side of the house amd started to clad the front of the garage.
May 2019
As the good weather came we managed to sort out the drive way to get the base layer down. We also fitted a 3,000 litre rain water storage tank that will supply our water to the toilets and the washing machine.
We treated the boarding for the garage and cast one of the external flights of stairs and started another section of retaining dry stone wall.
April 2019
Another busy month, with help from my parents we took down a few small trees which were stopping the solar gain on the front of the house. Finished building under the stairs to create the laundry cupboard. Had the service trench dug along the drive way for the water and internet cable. While this was going on also managed to start building a retaining dry stone wall. In the spare time we fitted a sink in the garage and the furniture in the porch.
March 2019
March was mainly about fitting the most incredible stairs which my brother had made from birch plywood.
